IP Camera Bandwidth and Disk Space Calculator is a special software tool made for calculation of required network bandwidth and storage space for network IP camera based video surveillance system of any size from small to big.

Just select your network camera resolution, compression level from drop-down lists, enter required FPS (frame per second) and total number of CCTV cameras and get the result.

In compare with online calculators you can calculate network bandwidth and storage space for many network cameras simultaneously. Software does not need an Internet connection and it has a really fast and friendly user interface.

Starting from version 5 it supports following camera resolutions:
320×240 (QVGA), 352×240 (CIF NTSC), 352×288 (CIF PAL), 480×360, 640×480 (VGA), 704×240, 704×288, 704×576, 1280×960, 1280×1024, 1600×1200, 2048×1536 and 2600×1950.

Following compression are supported: MJPEG (Motion JPEG), MPEG-4, H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC).

Important: at the moment we offer more comprehensive IP Video/CCTV tool called IP Video System Design Tool and we highly recommend to use this new design software instead of the calculator.

To get a free license key, you can do one of the following:

We need translations of our software and web site into several languages. We strongly need translation of a new version 7 into several lanuages(DE, ES, FR, ES, PT, …). In order to translate localization files please download and install the latest beta version into “C:\cctvtool\” folder, run and go to Menu/Settings/Language/Localization Tool, translate all the text between ” ” and save the localization (*.ini) file. Also we need a translation of our product page to Japanese and Arabic language. For such help we’ll send you a license FREE of charge. Please contact us if you can translate the software or help file.

If you are a do-gooder of any sort like secular non-profit organization or charity, please email us with a short blurb and we’ll send you a license, FREE of charge.

If you are a CCTV/IP Video/technical blogger or journalist willing to write us up (honest reviews are the most useful to us) email us a short blurb with the link to your site/blog and we’ll send you a license, FREE of charge, so that you can evaluate our IP Video / CCTV Design Tool properly.

A note to university students and professors: we currently do not offer free licenses to universities, but we’ll be happy to offer you 50% off any orders of 10 or more licenses. Let us know if you’re interested and we’ll set up a discount code for you. Another way to get a free license is to add a direct link to our website from your university or school website (.edu domain name).

If you don’t fit in any of the four buckets above, you can buy a standard business license for $195 or discounted single-user personal license for just $97.
